Drug Diversion in Long-Term Care Facilities Study

With an aging population, more and more seniors are being moved into long-term care facilities. Theft, receptacle overflow and other forms of improper disposal can lead to diversion and contribute to the opioid epidemic.

To understand consumer knowledge and concern of the growing challenge of drug diversion in long-term care facilities in the United States, we conducted a study, “Drug Diversion in Long Term Care Facilities,” among 1,200 US consumers aged 54+.
