Patient Safety and Experience Survey

Nurses, medical doctors and pharmacists continually earn the highest ratings from Americans for their honesty and ethical standards in yearly Gallup polls. That trust is reflected in this survey we conducted where 1,200 respondents (18 yrs. and older) agreed that their medical professional follows protocols that make them feel safe and protected. A strong majority of these respondents felt safe because they saw their health care worker use clean gloves to draw blood, followed by cleaning the site for injection and proper disposal of syringes in red sharps containers.

This 2019 Patient Safety Report shows that patients largely feel that medical professionals make sure they understand their prescribed medications, however, one in ten patients still feel they don’t know how to properly dispose of prescribed medications. Download the report to find out how younger patients (millennials) and older patients (baby boomers) differ on medication disposal as well as other interesting findings regarding patient experience.
